Bring on #iwill week!

We’re supporting the #iwill Week campaign by continuing to inspire more girls and young women to get involved in social action projects and make a real difference in their local communities. Check out all the different ways members can get involved…

1. Protect the environment

Keep Scotland Beautiful is a charity committed to making the country clean, green and more sustainable. We’ve teamed up with them to bring you the Keep Scotland Beautiful challenge badge which will help your unit learn all about the environment and how to protect it. There are a range of activities to get stuck into including organising a community clean-up and an eco-friendly picnic which makes it a great #iwill Week project. Find out more and download the challenge pack here.

2. Become a peer educator

You can train to become a peer educator and deliver fun and interactive sessions on issues from body confidence to bullying to other members. Girls are given a safe space to talk about the issues affecting them with peers. If you want to help build girls’ mental wellbeing and self-esteem then head over to the Girlguiding website to find out more and get involved.

3. In case you missed it…

Check out our Challenge Poverty Week blog and find out how you can get involved in our new campaign to help end period poverty in Scotland. There’s also more information on Girlguiding’s Girls in Action packs which encourage members to take action against serious issues affecting young people by advocating, raising awareness and volunteering.
