    What will you do with my data?

    It’s simple. We need the information you share with us to improve future opportunities and to satisfy our legal responsibilities. We’ll keep it safe for as long as long as you remain a member of Girlguiding. We promise we’ll only share your information if you ask us to, the law requires us, we carry out market research or it’s in the public interest. Don’t worry – we’ll never sell your data or share it for any other reason. Girlguiding Scotland is the registered data controller* for all our members’ personal information, both in the UK and around the world. * The organisation that manages and looks after your data.

    What happens when I complete the form?

    By completing this form you are agreeing that Girlguiding Scotland (including senior volunteers) can contact you about opportunities we feel fit your skillset or that you might be interested in.

    Is a role guaranteed?

    By becoming part of our volunteer pool you are not guaranteed an opportunity but we will make every effort to ensure that opportunities are made available.

    How long can I remain in the volunteer pool?

    You will be added to the volunteer pool for two years. At the end of this two year period you will be contacted to confirm that your time in the volunteer pool has ended, at which point you can reapply.

    Can I apply for any other available roles?

    You can apply for other Girlguiding Scotland roles while in the volunteer pool.

    What happens if I change my mind?

    You can ask to be removed from the volunteer pool at any time by contacting ann-marie@girlguiding-scot.org.uk.
