The role
The compliance lead volunteer will advise and support counties with matters relating to volunteer compliance. This role is part of the county support team, which focuses on providing support to local guiding with concerns, complaints and compliance. The volunteer team is led by a deputy Scottish chief commissioner and supported administratively by staff from Girlguiding Scotland.
Your profile:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work confidentially and handle challenging conversations with diplomacy and sensitivity
- Good understanding of what is required by OSCR for charity compliance
- Problem solving skills including tenacity and diligence to follow a situation over an extended period of time
- Knowledge of Girlguiding policies and procedures pertaining to finance and compliance or a willingness to learn
