How we look and sound

How we write and speak about Girlguiding Scotland, and the impression we give through things like leaflets, stalls and websites, says a lot about us. We need to make sure we’re telling the world how fantastic we are and shouting about the difference we make.

You can get brilliant advice on writing, creating a website for guiding in your area and how to use our brand identity – logo, colours, font and more – at Girlguiding’s styleguide website.

We’ve also pulled together key messages about what Girlguiding Scotland is all about for you to use as inspiration in your communications, and a handy guide to how to write effectively.

If you’re interested in trying your hand at blogging, then take a look at our blogging guidelines for tips on getting people interested in what you have to say.

If you need to explain what Girlguiding’s position is on a particular issue, then check out their list of topics which the organisation has statements about. Girlguiding Scotland is planning on producing statements like these for Scotland too, so watch this space!

If you’re asked about an issue that’s not on the position statement list, or if you’re asked about a specifically Scottish issue like votes at 16, then please contact the Marketing and Communications Team on 0131 226 4511 and we’ll be happy to help.
