1-2-1 sessions for Joining & Developing Guiding Grants
Get 1-2-1 advice and help to apply for a Joining Guiding or a Developing Guiding Grant for your unit, district, division or county.
Units, districts, divisions and counties across Scotland can benefit from Developing Guiding grants and Joining Guiding grants thanks to funding from the Gannochy Trust.
All Scottish Rainbow and Brownie units* can apply for a Developing Guiding Grant to help them deliver opportunities and activities that will enable girls to develop new skills or become active in their community. These grants can also be used to help girls move through the sections.
For Rainbow & Brownie units* that are newly opened or need specific support to help new girls join, Joining Guiding Grants can help with start up costs.
Districts, divisions and counties can also apply for Developing Guiding and Joining Guiding Grants for projects that will reach new or existing members.

If you want to know more, or have already started working on an application, sign up for a short 30 minute 1-2-1 with either Emily or Reann from our Membership Development Team – there are multiple dates and time to choose from:
- Every Monday from 17 October to 19 December – Slots available at 4pm and 4.30pm
- Every Tuesday from 18 October to 13 December – Slots available at 6.30pm and 7pm
- Every Wednesday from 19 October to 14 December – Slots available at 6.30pm and 7pm
- Every Thursday from 20 October to 15 December – Slots available at 4pm and 4.30pm
- Every Friday from 21 October to 16 December – Slots available at 12.30pm and 1pm
The time can be used for the following:
- To ask general questions about the funding available and eligibility criteria
- To support you through the application process by helping you fill in the form
- To go through the form with you before submitting the application and to offer any tips and pointers
