Girlguiding and Girlguiding Scotland are committed to maintaining a safe space for all of our members and volunteers as a top priority.
All Girlguiding Scotland volunteers in roles which require a disclosure check are required to join the Scottish Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. A local commissioner will advise new volunteers if their role requires PVG scheme membership while an ID Verifier will provide support to complete the relevant PVG application.
Are you an ID Verifier?
If you need additional copies of PVG forms and/or guidance notes and addressed envelopes, these can be ordered directly from Girlguiding’s Disclosures Team. You can get in touch with them on 020 7834 6242 or email@example.com. To allow the team to deal with your enquiry as quickly as possible, we recommend putting ‘PVG forms’ in the subject of your email. It’s also helpful if you can provide details of which PVG forms and/or guidance notes you need (i.e. for new applicants or existing scheme members) and a rough quantity.
Below are some documents for Girlguiding Scotland ID Verifiers, commissioners or any new volunteers who have questions about the disclosure check process:
- PVG Frequently asked questions
- PVG Coversheet for ID verifiers
- PVG guidance for ID verifiers
- PVG guidance notes for volunteers (joining PVG for the first time)
- PVG guidance notes for volunteers (existing members of PVG scheme)
- PVG Common errors
If your question is not answered in the above resources please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
