Child safety

How do we keep girls safe?

We run, slide, climb, row, walk, paddle, skip and whizz our way through challenging activities. Safety is at the heart of everything we do so you can rest easy knowing that when you wave your young one goodbye on her next camping trip or weekly meeting, she’s in safe hands. Because we know that when girls feel safe, they feel brave enough to do things they never thought they could.

Safety guidelines

We have clear safety guidelines which all our volunteers follow. We also have our own leader qualifications and training.

We carry out checks on all volunteers who work directly with our young members. This includes recruitment checks, two references and an informal discussion with a local commissioner – a member of Girlguiding responsible for the management of adults involved in Girlguiding.
