Disability

Here are some ways you can make guiding more accessible for disabled members

At Girlguiding Scotland we want to make sure that everyone can have great opportunities and get involved with guiding.

With disabled members or volunteers, that sometimes means we have to make some adjustments and have a tailored approach. You can find lots of information on disabilities and guiding here. Plus, you can also read about one member’s experiences of enjoying all that guiding has to offer and living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome over on Girlguiding’s website.

If you would like some advice on making adjustments then take a look at Girlguiding’s advice page or find out more about adjustment plans here. There’s also a video on the social model language.
