Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to get crafty with your unit and make some cute gifts to take home!

Try this fuss free Valentine’s treat

Make a valentines treat using just strawberries, chocolate and cocktail sticks.

First, cut the strawberries in half and lay them flat side down. Put a cocktail stick through the thickest part of both strawberries to make a love heart shape.

Dip the strawberries in melted chocolate or pour the melted chocolate on top of each strawberry. Place them on a cooling rack and remove the cocktail stick before you leave them to dry.

Once they are dry they are ready to eat or you can decorate them to make some perfect chocolate love hearts.

Get crafty and make a jar of happiness

Fill a jar with happy thoughts to give to your loved ones that will show them how much they mean to you.

Get yourself a glass jar and decorate it with whatever materials you like, it could be really simple like a ribbon or you could go all out with glitter.

On small pieces of paper write happy messages for your loved ones – whether you want to share a message to tell your mum how much you love her or let your best friend know why she makes you laugh. Once you’ve filled the jar with lots of happy messages, give the jar to a loved one as a great homemade Valentine’s gift!
