Taking place one month from today on Sunday 21 February from 10am–4pm, this free event will be hosted in a closed Facebook group where activities, videos and more will be posted throughout the day.
You’ll get the chance to renew your promise with Scottish Chief Commissioner, Moira McKenna. Plus, there will be a badge available to purchase after the event (more details on this coming soon). All sections can take part and you don’t need to sign up as part of a unit – individuals are welcome!
As the event will be hosted on Facebook, we recommend that parents sign up on behalf of our younger members. To make sure the group is a safe place, we ask some security questions when you request to join – please ensure you answer these or your request will not be approved. You’ve got until the end of the day on 12 February 2021 to request to join the group so please make sure you do so as soon as possible and don’t miss out.
Please note that requests to join the group will be monitored between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday with limited monitoring at weekends, so please be patient when waiting for your access to be granted.
Leaders – when you’re promoting this event to your unit or to those on your waiting list, please let everyone know what your unit name is, as it’s recorded on GO, to help them with answering the security questions.
There’s also an option to have a pack of the activities for the day emailed out to you on 21 February. If you would prefer to receive this pack, please get in touch to request it by end of the day on 12 February.
Make sure to spread the word that you’re taking part on social media (on Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok as well as Facebook) by using the hashtag #GGSThinkingDay!
We intend for there to be limited resources required for the activities so that everyone can take part, and a kit list will go out a week before the event. P.S. Trefoil Guild members are welcome to join in too!
