Girlguiding Inspire events in Scotland

The Girlguiding Inspire community in Scotland is for members aged 18-30. It’s fun, flexible and tailored to you.

Multiple dates Virtual event (via Zoom)

Come along to any of our upcoming free sessions to meet like-minded members, learn more about the Inspire community in Scotland, ask questions and have fun taking part in a variety of activities and themed events! Why not also join our closed Facebook group to connect with Inspire members across Scotland?

Programme sharing session and World Centre origami activity (Friday 16, April: 6pm-7pm)

Are you also a unit leader or helper? Come along for a quick informal chat about how we are adapting the programme, share ideas and challenges, and find out more about the WAGGGS 6 leadership mindsets from members who attended the Juliette Low Seminar in 2019. All of this will be followed by an origami activity inspired by the World Centres – bring paper and your enthusiasm!

Inspire the environment – Making your own reusable period products (Sunday, 2 May: 6pm-7pm)

At Girlguiding we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment – as you will know, we are also committed to ending period poverty, but how do we do both at the same time? Come along to this session where we will attempt to make our own reusable period products with easy to access household items. A list of materials, templates and instructions will be sent out beforehand. Feel free to share other ideas on how we can limit our carbon footprint, cut down on plastic waste and be a better planet ally!

Peer Education – Think Resilient session (Saturday, 15 May: 6pm-7.30pm)

The month of May often brings a lot of exam stress, but after this last year even those of us who have left education far behind might be feeling burned out and in need of some breathing space. We have a fantastic Peer Educator coming along to run a Think Resilient session for us, so take an hour out of your day/week to focus on you and make sure you are taking care of yourself first. Please note: You can buy your very own Think Resilient badge from our online shop!

Book now

Please book your place as soon as possible as numbers are limited. If the events do not sell out, then ticket sales for each event will close at 12 noon on the Friday before the event.

You will receive an email with details on how to join your Zoom session on the Thursday before each event you are attending (unless you have booked last minute, in which case it will be on the Friday once ticket sales have closed). If you do not receive this email, please email Rachel@girlguiding-scot.org.uk.
