Our Scottish chief commissioner designate Elaine has appointed two assistants to join her team once she starts her exciting new role in September!

Join us in congratulating Alison McNab and Lyndsay Strang as they embark on an exciting new volunteering journey – they will each become an Assistant Scottish chief commissioner as of next month!

Here’s what Alison had to say about her new appointment:

I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role to support a number of important projects at Girlguiding Scotland, including considering our environmental impact and improving our appointments processes. These projects will help to ensure that we are the best organisation we can be for our young members and volunteers.

Lyndsay also shared her thoughts on starting her new role:

I am really excited to be taking the next step in my own guiding journey by joining the Scottish chief commissioner team. I am looking forward to supporting counties as they create amazing opportunities for existing and new members over the next 5 years.

Scottish chief commissioner designate Elaine said:

I’m really looking forward to working with Lyndsay and Alison! They both have so much experience and a great deal of knowledge that’ll enable them to help support our counties to deliver great guiding across Scotland. It’s going to be fantastic having them join Sarah and I on the team.

We’ll be sharing more information about Lyndsay and Alison when they officially start their roles.
