The role
The Going Away With mentor is responsible for promoting and encouraging members to achieve their Going Away With qualification within Girlguiding Scotland. The Going Away With mentor must be a member aged 18+ and hold a Girlguiding Going Away With licence and modules 5–7.
This role is part of the outdoor qualifications team, which focuses on supporting, promoting and encouraging the enjoyment of the outdoors with the aim of helping members achieve outdoor qualifications. This role will be supported by Elspeth Husband, the lead volunteer for this team, and members of the outdoor qualifications team, theme development team lead and the guiding delivery staff team.
