Whether you’re planning a residential event, a camp or a sleepover, we’ve got you covered!
All the information you need to take girls from any section away on a residential can be found in the Girlguiding website.
The going away with scheme is for any active leader who’d like to run overnight residentials for their girls. By completing the going away with scheme, you’ll learn all about the practical elements of planning a residential – from health and safety to maintaining camping equipment. Find out more here.
We’re running some trainings on the new going away with scheme, see upcoming training here.
The residential event notification (REN) form is what leaders in charge of residential events must use when planning a residential event with young members. This includes sleepovers, camps, large-scale events and international residentials. Find more information on RENs here.
Girlguiding have removed the international REN form from the website and all new international RENs must now be submitted through GO. Please remember that all international RENs must be signed off at Scottish level at all stages by the Scottish international adviser and Scottish chief commissioner.
If you have any questions about international RENs, you can contact the Scottish international adviser on international@girlguiding-scot.org.uk.
Taking public transport can seem difficult when it’s new to you or you’re not used to going on trips as a big group. That’s why we’ve created our new challenge pack Get on Board to give you the information and support you need to make it easier and more fun!
If you need to raise some cash to take your girls on an adventure then visit the fundraising downloads and resources on the Girlguiding website – it’s packed with ideas and advice. There are also a wide range of Scottish, UK and external grants which units can apply for to help with the cost of events, you can find these on our grants, funding and projects page.
