Generation Cashback
Find out more about Generation CashBack, a Scottish Government project which uses proceeds of crime to expand opportunities for young people in areas of need.
Guide and Ranger units are invited to join the latest phase of Generation CashBack, a project delivered by a partnership involving Girlguiding Scotland, Boys Brigade Scotland, Scouts Scotland and Youth Scotland. It focuses on growing opportunities for young people in disadvantaged areas, and in communities which are experiencing anti-social behaviour and crime.
Phase 6 of the 3-year project launched in Spring 2023 and is run by our development officer Anna. Anna will help you explore how the project could support your unit to access capacity building support for girls and leaders (including training, equipment, funding for essential costs and leadership activities). Who can take part?
The Scottish Government has set the criteria for this project. We’re looking to support units where the majority of girls live in areas of deprivation or where there’s evidence of crime, antisocial behaviour, adverse childhood experiences or trauma in the young people within the unit.
This can be hard to identify so Anna will help you work out whether your unit is eligible to join the project. The first step is to complete our short expression of interest form and book onto a zoom call.
