Peer educators are role models for thousands of girls around the UK. If you’re aged 14-25, you can help young people explore important topics. You’ll run fun activities which have been developed in partnership with girls and experts. And you’ll use your own experience as a young person to bring subjects to life.
As a peer educator, you’ll visit unit meetings to deliver sessions on things girls have told us they want to explore. You’ll create a safe space for them to discuss subjects like building resilience, challenging gender stereotypes or making a stand for safety. And you’ll run activities which give them tools to support them through the rest of their lives.
Come along to our session on Zoom where we will talk more about what peer educators do, run a couple of peer education activities, and tell you how you can become a peer educator. Book your place using the form below and we’ll be in touch with more details soon.
*Booking for this event is now closed. If you are interested in hearing about future sessions, please contact Rachel@girlguiding-scot.org.uk*
There is more information about peer education on our website. If you are a leader who would like to find out more, you can come along to our What is peer education? session. And, if you would be interested in having a peer educator visit your unit, you can request a session.
