Lead 2025 is a leadership conference which will support you wherever you are on your leadership journey. Whether you are a experienced commissioner or interested in developing your skills we’ll have sessions perfect for you. At our amazing venue in Glasgow you’ll have the chance to meet with lots of other members, hear from a fantastic key note speaker and attend a wide variety of sessions, all tailored to be perfect for wherever you are on your leadership journey. Sessions will be focused on leading adults and include topics like building your team, confident communications and creating a culture of belonging.

There will be Girlguiding Scotland banners and flags and volunteers to show you the way. Registration will be at the front of the Lomond Auditorium, with coffee and tea being served on the mezzanine. You can see a full layout of the venue here.
There are screens at each of the rooms and there will be staff, volunteers and stewards from the venue to help you find your way.
We have Gus the Bus (an accessible bus) running from 9am until 5pm. There is a pickup point in the car park, and it will drop you off in front of the venue. There will be a member of the organising team available to help with any questions.

The SEC has its own dedicated train station, Exhibition Centre. You can find all the details about its accessibility here.
Registration is in the concourse of the Loch Suite. Please have your QR code/ticket from Eventbrite open to allow the team to scan it on arrival.
You can park in the SEC multi storey car park, which is located opposite the SEC. The cost is £12 for up to 12 hours (GGS will reimburse this cost, please keep your receipt). For more details, please see the website. This car park includes accessible parking.
Registration will open at 9.00am, you will be able to visit our Problem Solving Zone – where you will find volunteers that can help you with questions about Go, RENS, governance and more. You could also visit our Collaboration and Opportunity Zone – where you will find external organisations ready to share opportunities with you. The welcome session will start at 10am in the Lomond auditorium.
The event is due to finish at 4.30pm.
Please come in your uniform, this can be a polo shirt or formal blouse.
We will cover any reasonable travel to the event, either by public transport or by car (mileage is 45p per mile). Please remember to send any parking receipts as well. Please arrange to share transport where possible.
If you have leave before 7am and will arrive home after 7pm, then we would cover breakfast and dinner per our guidance (full details are on the back of the expense claim form, which is up to £10 for breakfast and £30 for dinner, including VAT). You can claim your expenses by filling out the expense claim form and send it to hello@girlguiding-scot.org.uk.
It is no longer possible to organise accommodation centrally, so if you have a very early start in the morning please book accommodation according to our expense limits and claim back the cost through our expense process. Yes. There is also a Morrisons onsite for anyone who might want something different (this would not be able to be claimed back). Please ensure that you don’t bring any nut/coconut based products to the venue.
The rooms are set up for hearing loops, please get in touch if you have any questions about this.
Yes, the accessible toilets are just outside the Loch suite, where majority of our sessions are taking place. There are also changing places toilets in the main concourse of the SEC.
Yes, we will have a dedicated quiet space (M2 in the academy area of the venue.). This room is to be used only by someone who needs a quiet space, it is not for taking phone calls or other meetings.

Unfortunately, there is no charging available. Please bring extra power packs to keep devices charged, if needed.
Each attendee will receive a lanyard with your name on the front and the sessions that you have signed up to on the reverse.
