Girlguiding Scotland is made up of a small team of staff working in partnership with volunteers to deliver guiding to our 40,000 members and 9,000 volunteers across Scotland. Elaine is the lead volunteer for Scotland with overall responsibility for making sure we continue to inspire girls across the country. Elaine also chairs the trustee board, and the appointments committee.

Sarah supports the Scottish chief commissioner, along with the rest of the chief commissioner team and is the chair of the operational board. She is also a trustee.

Lyndsay supports the Scottish chief commissioner, and her team. Lyndsay is chair of the county support team, supporting volunteers with issues regarding safeguarding, concerns, compliance and equity, diversity and inclusion.

Works with the wider Girlguiding Scotland team to ensure that our volunteers have a rewarding experience. As a member of the operational board she helps make decisions on the work that the organisation will deliver.

Rachael oversees the development of innovative projects that support organisational strategy and that are recognised as having the potential to transform Girlguiding Scotland.

Oversees the charity’s internal and external communications and engagement. She also manages girl experience and volunteer experience, ensuring members are supported and have access to unbeatable experiences.

Head of operations
Oversees the membership development and growth team. Louise manages our grants and development work, the CashBack project and ensures we use membership data to plan our work.

Leads the staff team who work with around 100 volunteers at Scottish level to deliver support and opportunities for members. Denise works closely with the chief commissioner team to celebrate all guiding has to offer in Scotland.
