Hear from our chair, Sally McMath, on how we support Girlguiding Scotland and about becoming a member of Friends of Girlguiding Scotland (FoGGS).
We’d love for you to join us!
Membership is open to anyone – be you a former leader, an active leader or just someone who is interested in supporting girls and young women. All are welcome.
As a Friend of Girlguiding Scotland, your regular donation supports Girlguiding Scotland’s work to help our young members grow in confidence, learn new skills, have fun and be a powerful force for good. Since FoGGS was formed we have raised over £130,000 to support a variety of projects over the years.
What does our membership offer you?
- You’ll be invited to our Spring Afternoon Tea and to our Autumn Lunch, where you’ll hear about our young members, meet friends old and new, and find out about new projects.
- You’ll be investing in the future of Scottish guiding

FAQs and important information
What is the membership fee?
Our membership fee is a minimum of £25 per year, our fee is increasing to £30 a year from 1 January 2026. You can choose to pay this whenever you’d like throughout the year. Regular giving and donations above this amount are always welcome.
How do I set up a standing order?
If you have online banking or a banking app, you can set up a standing order manually. Choose the amount you want to pay, how often and set the payee as:

I can’t set up my own Standing Order
If you are unable to set up the Standing Order via your personal online banking, please print off the joining form and Standing Order Instruction form linked below instead. If you are a UK taxpayer and would like to gift aid the amount you are paying to Girlguiding Scotland, please also print our Gift Aid Declaration form. Once completed, signed and dated, please send the original forms to:

Friends of Girlguiding Scotland New Unit Grant
Thanks to generous support from Friends of Girlguiding Scotland (FoGGS), new and re-opening units can now apply for the Friends of Girlguiding Scotland New Unit Grant to help support them operate in the first 6 months.
