What is Generation Cashback?

We aim to give bespoke support to units to help them grow their offer, have more adventures and support girls to get new leadership skills.

The programme is designed to support the Scottish Government’s aim to tackle inequalities by having a greater focus on young people from areas where there are fewer opportunities. We deliver CashBack in partnership with Boys Brigade Scotland, Scouts Scotland and Youth Scotland.

Guide and Ranger units who meet in areas of deprivation and in communities which are experiencing high levels of anti-social behaviour and crime can join CashBack.

Guide and Ranger units are eligible if…

• The unit’s postcode is in an area of deprivation
• Or the majority of the young members in the unit have postcodes in areas of deprivation
• Or young people in the unit have had adverse childhood experiences or experiences of trauma

If you’re unsure if your unit will be eligible, please get in touch and we can let you know.

CashBack is oversubscribed at the moment, but please email anna@girlguiding-scot.org.uk to add your unit to the waiting list.

By taking part in the Generation CashBack project, you and your unit could…

• Help more girls participate in guiding for the first time
• Offer more opportunities to a wider range of girls
• Deliver more inclusive guiding
• Be more financially secure
• Access tailored training and support
• Celebrate your impact and achievements
• Receive up to £2000 to help with ongoing meeting costs and the cost of equipment and experiences to build skills and confidence
