Out and About Wee Beastie Challenge 2021
The Out and About Challenge is back and this year we’ve created an exciting new resource all about wee beasties, bugs, creepy crawlies, critters – whatever you like to call them!
Spring has sprung and summer is almost here so it’s time to go on an outdoor adventure, explore nature near you and learn something new!
Research shows just how beneficial taking part in outdoor activities is when it comes to boosting our mental health and well-being. You can take on the Wee Beastie Challenge with your unit if you’re meeting outside, with friends (subject to current restrictions) or you can complete it with your family, but just make sure you let your unit leader know first.
How does it work?
All you have to do is go on a wee beastie hunt and see what critters you can find. To earn the amazing new badge below, please complete one activity from the Discover section in the pack, one from Action and one other activity from either section. From building a luxury bug hotel to finding out fun facts about the beasties you come across, there’s something for everyone to get stuck into!
