This session should last around 1.5 hours, and we will be making sure that your district or division are safe and well‑governed. It will cover an overview of financial oversight, safeguarding responsibilities, property management, and understanding duties as a trustee, alongside adherence to GG policies, data protection requirements, Residential Event Notification forms, and regular risk assessments to manage and minimise risk. We won’t be able to cover all the details on the night but will be signposting to places for more support.
We also have a range of other sessions, sessions 1 and 2 are for new/returning commissioners who have been in role for less than a year and can only be booked together. Session 4 is another standalone session for any district or division commissioner.
Session 1: First steps in your role (Thursday, 21 May)
Session 2: Your role as the team lead (Thursday, 28 May)
If you are interested in attending the first 2 sessions, then you can book here.
Session 4: Supporting growth as a commissioner (Thursday, 18 June)
If you would like to learn more about recruitment and growth for commissioners you can book onto the session here.
We will be running these sessions again later in the year on a different day of the week.
