Earlier this year we announced that Elaine Rough will begin her term as the new Scottish chief commissioner in September and now she’s appointed her Deputy for when that time comes… Everyone, please join us in congratulating Sarah MacNeil on her new appointment as Deputy Scottish chief commissioner!

Here’s what Sarah had to say about her appointment:

I’m delighted to be joining Elaine’s team as Deputy Scottish chief commissioner.

I am looking forward to engaging with and listening to young members, and adult volunteers, and to working with the great staff team and volunteers at Scottish HQ to make sure as many girls and women can experience the benefits of guiding.

Scottish chief commissioner designate Elaine said:

I am thrilled that Sarah will be joining the Scottish chief commissioner team as my Deputy chief commissioner. Sarah has the strengths, skills and knowledge to work with and support our lead volunteers and staff to deliver great opportunities and grow guiding in Scotland.
