Scottish Chief Commissioner

Sue Walker

Sue is our lead volunteer in Scotland, with overall responsibility for making sure we deliver our aim of empowering and inspiring as many girls as possible through guiding.

Sue has been guiding since her days as a Brownie and Guide in Coatbridge, going on to become a Brownie Leader and County Commissioner for Girlguiding Fife before taking on our top role.

Sue is married with three children. A chemical engineer by trade and an ultra-marathon runner in her spare time, she is frequently found wearing either a hard hat or running trainers!

Strong female role models

Sue says:

“Girlguiding Scotland has been a significant force throughout my life. I’ve been lucky enough to be inspired by some fantastic, strong female role models which have helped me get where I am today.

My top priority is to show all our members they can achieve anything they set their mind to.”
