Scottish chief commissioner

Moira McKenna

Moira is our lead volunteer in Scotland, with overall responsibility for making sure we deliver our aim of empowering and inspiring as many girls as possible to find their voice through Girlguiding across the country.

Having joined the Girlguiding family in 1973, Moira enjoys taking the lead in giving girls a space to reach their full potential as well as supporting all our fantastic and dedicated volunteers.

Moira was a Brownie at first, then became a Guide, and after that a Ranger. Later, she was a Queen’s Guide and completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s award.
