Deputy Scottish Chief Commissioners

Carol Edwards, Eileen Martin and Elaine Kelly

Carol, Eileen and Elaine support the Scottish Chief Commissioner and provide individual support to Girlguiding Scotland Counties.

They also lead big projects such as our annual get-together for Girlguiding Scotland members and represent the charity at events.

Between them our three Deputy Scottish Chief Commissioners have more than 90 years of guiding experience in their home towns of Montrose, Innerleithen and Dunoon and beyond.

Alongside working and raising families, they have held roles as varied as leading Brownie and Rainbow units and coordinating local guiding as Commissioners and Advisers.

Passion for Scottish guiding

Elaine says:

“Our passion for guiding is one thing we all have in common – and how privileged we feel at being able to share the buzz and fun of guiding with so many girls and volunteers.

“Our differences? We all have quite different guiding backgrounds, which means we bring a variety of strengths and experiences to our roles.”
