Lorna Kirkpatrick is the county commissioner for Orkney.
Find out what Lorna has to say about this county:
“Orkney is unique due to its geographical location off the North of Scotland. We currently have approx 270 girls attending 7 Rainbows units, 11 Brownies units, 8 Guide units and 1 Ranger unit. They’re located on the mainland and the islands with approx 70 leaders providing an exciting and varied new programme. I feel privileged to be part of this team.
We also have 2 excellent boat operators travelling to the mainland up to 3 times daily. The leaders are excellent at supporting each other with ideas and supporting county events for the girls, which we try to provide annually. We aim for girls and leaders to reach their full potential.”
