Opportunity: Join our governance working group

Wanted……..strategic thinkers to join Girlguiding Scotland’s Governance Working Group.  In 2017 Girlguiding Scotland will review how it is organised, the way we are managed and governed as a charity. It is more than 15 years since we last reviewed the arrangements and we are keen to ensure they are fit for purpose for the future.

About the role

We are looking for two adult members ( aged 18 plus) who can make a positive contribution to this working group. The group will look at how we are organised, how the Counties and Regions work and how the trustee board and sub committees ensure that the charity is well managed. It would be helpful if you have some wider experience beyond your unit- eg have served on a County Executive committee or perhaps work/volunteer for another Scottish Charity.

This working group will meet regularly throughout 2017 and expects to submit at least an interim report and initial recommendations at the end of the year.
