Let’s get ready for World Thinking Day!

World Thinking Day is fast-approaching and there are lots of ways for you and your girls to join in the celebration!

Share your #promiseselfie!

World Thinking Day celebrates the 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world and this year we’re asking our members to help spread the message of friendship even further.

Take a #promiseselfie with your unit, share it on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, then tag another group – whether that’s a unit down the road or half way around the world – and challenge them to take a selfie too.

How and where you take your #promiseselfie is up to you – just remember to make the promise sign. Check out our photo guidelines to get some top tips for taking a perfect picture.

We can’t wait to see how far your #promiseselfie travels!

Let’s Grow!

This World Thinking Day the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is calling on members around the world to help more girls join the fun and adventure.

The Grow resource, which has been created by WAGGGS to celebrate World Thinking Day, is packed with fun ideas and activities to help your unit explore how they can reach out and make in a difference in their local communities and around the world.

Send a message!

World Thinking Day is an ideal time to make connections with other Girlguiding members near and far. Why not have your unit write and decorate World Thinking Day messages or cards?

You could check with your County to see if there are any links with Girl Guides or Girls Scouts group in other places or send a card to one of the four WAGGGS World Centres.

Or keep it closer to home and have your girls write to a local unit – perhaps your Guides could write to their nearest Brownie unit and let them know what they can look forward to when they move up?
