Stay tuned for an announcement in the New Year about when the next round of funding will be available! In the meantime you can find out more about the Developing guiding fund below.
Thanks to The Gannochy Trust, if your project supports Girlguiding Scotland’s growing guiding strategy and aims to have a positive impact on the opportunities available to young members, then you could be eligible for funding.
To be inspired by recent projects supported by the Gannochy Trust check out these funding examples.
For districts, divisions and counties
Funding for districts, divisions and counties can be used for new projects which extend, develop and enhance local guiding, such as leadership training for volunteers, events for prospective volunteers, county camps to encourage girls to move up sections or ‘taster days’ for girls on waiting lists and their parents.
To find out more about funding for districts, divisions and counties check out the guidance notes. If you’re interested in applying then download the application form. A commissioner will need to sign off on all applications but if you need more information Louise will be able to help you with the form.
Funding of up to £3000 is also available for Girlguiding Scotland regions that would like to work together on a project to deliver positive impacts for girls across multiple counties. Find out more about funding for regional projects here and you can download the application form here. You can get in touch with Louise if you need any help with the form.
Flexible Guiding Projects
The Flexible Guiding Project Fund is another branch of the Developing Guiding Fund. This branch exists to support volunteer teams who want to deliver guiding flexibly to reach girls who might otherwise miss out on what we offer. If you’re interested and want more information then download the application form here.
Keep your eyes peeled for an announcement in the New Year about when the next round of funding will be available.
