Morag Anna, 10, from the Isle of Skye, completed 56 Brownie badges in three years!
It’s an amazing achievement – what were the highs and lows?
“My favourite badge to do was the first one I did on my own, Friend to animals.
“I love animals and want to be a vet when I grow up so this badge was so much fun to do!
“The hardest one was the Brownie holiday badge.
“My Brownie leader organised for me to join another group for two nights on the Isle of Raasay.
“I didn’t know any of the girls very well before I went to so I was a bit nervous!
“But I had a great time when I was there – kayaking was my favourite part and I got to make lots of new friends.”
Being in the Brownies has given Morag Anna lots of other amazing experiences besides completing her impressive list of badges.
“We do too many exciting things to list.
“I conquered my fear of heights on the slides at Landmark Forest Adventure Park and got to give out medals to the runners at this year’s Skye Half Marathon.
“And at our last meeting we put on a ceilidh for the local Rainbows!
“We do baking, walks around the village, singing, crafts and learning lots of new things.”
Meeting new friends
So what’s the best thing about being a Brownie?
“Everything! My favourite part of being a Brownie has been meeting new friends and having lots of fun.
“I’ve enjoyed helping out in my community and also helping new Brownies that joined our group.”
