Wander the World is back in-person and it’s going to be better than ever!
Come along to Blair Drummond Safari Park and see all the amazing animals from all over the world on site. We’ll provide a shuttle bus safari experience for members so you can explore the grounds with your girls.
Not only are the Blair Drummond Safari Park team going to make a fantastic programme for us to have fun with on the day, there will also be a series of exclusive pop-up Girlguiding activities dotted around the park for you to enjoy! Keep your eyes peeled for more information on what will be on offer coming soon! This is an experience you won’t want to miss.
The Girlguiding Scotland team will be there to welcome groups from 10am and will wrap things up at 4.30pm. The park, however, is open until 5.30pm and groups are welcome to stay until closing.

We’ve put together a list of FAQs for you to have a look at below (which includes info on different tickets types) but please note we’ll be sharing more information about the event in due course.
Please note that all the usual procedures for trips apply e.g. risk assessments, adhering to ratios, consent forms, home contact, etc.

A. It’s taking place at Blair Drummond Safari Park in Stirling on Saturday 17 September 2022. The Girlguiding Scotland team will be there to welcome groups from 10am and will wrap things up at 3.30pm. The park, however, is open until 5.30pm and groups are welcome to stay until closing.
A. You can find directions to the park here. Once you get to the venue you’ll be signposted to the Girlguiding Scotland marquee tent.
A. This event is open to girls, Rainbow to Ranger age (4-18 years old), girls who are on a waiting list and have an enquiry number, and volunteers keen to come along with them and join in the fun!
A. There are 4 tickets types available: £15 which will get you entry to the park and event plus some fun extras and a badge (there’s one for children, members aged 18 and under, and another for adult members aged 19+). Or the £25 tickets which will also get you a food voucher to buy lunch (or dinner) at the event, however there will be limited time slots and food options available on the day. Please note that for the £25 tickets there’s also a child and adult option available to purchase.
A. There are a selection of food stalls on site at the venue for you to choose from – you can find out more about what’s on offer here. The exact details of which food items you will be able to buy will be available nearer the time but it will cover lunch or dinner (e.g. a drink and hot food item). Please note that if you do select the food option there will be limited time slots and options available on the day.
A. Payment is due at the time of booking (or within 14 days if you are paying by cheque or BACS). Please note that bookings are not confirmed until we have received your payment.

A. As well as the whole experience, groups will be signposted to the Girlguiding Scotland hub marquee when they arrive where they’ll receive their programme for the day and a special event badge before they set off on their adventure!
A. There are lots of funds available to help units take part. If you’re just looking for travel costs, our Travel Fund can help. If you need help with travel, tickets and other resources beyond Wander the World please look at the Developing Guiding Fund or Generation CashBack.
A. Whether you’re travelling from afar or would just like to have an overnight trip away with your girls, we’ll be sharing more information about accommodation options nearby soon.

A. First Aid is taken care of on site but as with any unit trip please make sure you have your own first aid kit on hand too.
A. The Covid-19 guidelines are always evolving so please make sure you follow all of the latest Scottish Government and park guidance on this on the day. Please note that the event takes place entirely outside and going inside at any point is completely optional.
