Our Rise to the Challenge day is an action-packed celebration for members age 5 to 105.
It includes hands-on activities & demonstrations in five-themed zones – survival skills, nature, creative, baking, construction & engineering – all set in the beautiful grounds of Glamis Castle, childhood home of the Queen Mother.
Who can come?
This event is open to Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, members of The Senior Section, Leaders and Trefoil Guild members. You don’t need to have completed the Rise to the Challenge pack and badge to take part – everyone is welcome.
How to book
Tickets are £15 per person and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. To book your place download and complete the attached booking form along with a a cheque made payable to Girlguiding Scotland, and return to Laura Stewart, Girlguiding Scotland, 16 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh, EH3 7AH.

Parents and guardians bringing girls to Rise to the Challenge now have the chance to enjoy a discounted day out at stunning Glamis Castle too! Collect a wrtistband when your drop off your girls to enjoy discounted entry to Glamis Castle on the day.
Volunteer at Rise to the Challenge
We’re also looking for volunteer to help make Rise to the Challenge an amazing day for girls.
We have two volunteer roles to choose from:
Activity marshalls: help girls have fun at our action-packed activity zones
General event marshalls: meet and greet members and answer questions
