Celebrating Volunteers’ Week in Inverness

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK – and it’s taking place from the 1-12 June 2016 (an extended week for a bigger celebration).

Maureen Cusick, Assistant County Commissioner in Ross-shire, will be talking to people about volunteering with Girlguiding Scotland this Volunteers Week as she will be having a stall in a busy shopping centre in Inverness.

Maureen aims to attract new volunteers at the recruitment stall – by sharing her positive story of volunteering and sharing how fun it is to be a volunteer in that area.

If you are taking part in an event for Volunteers’ Week, we have branded items that will help you stand out.

We have a wide range of fantastic free recruitment resources including banners, posters, display boards, leaflet dispensers and tablecloths. You can even hire out a gazebo with the Girlguiding Scotland logo on the side! Browse what’s available through Girlguiding Scotland’s recruitment resources lending service.

We also offer a wealth of free materials including posters, postcards and leaflets to hand out at events and stalls. Read our quick guide to resources for recruitment to find out what’s on offer and how to order.
