When: Thursday 5 February, 7pm to 9.30pm, online via Zoom. Then in-person from 8.30am (for a 9am start) to 5pm on Saturday 7 February and Sunday 8 February 2026. All elements of the course must be attended.
Where: Stirling Guide Hall, Glebe Avenue, Stirling, FK8 2HZ. Overnight accommodation will be at a nearby hotel for those that need it.
Cost: £27.50 for Girlguiding Scotland members. The cost includes all meals and accommodation. It does not include any travel, see below for more information.

This course is open to all members of Girlguiding Scotland aged 18+.
The course will use blended learning and will follow all guidelines in place at the time of the course. The content will be intense, and the full 16-hour contact time is required. Teaching times will be Thursday evening 7pm to 9.30pm (on Zoom), then the course will continue in person throughout Saturday and into Sunday. You should arrive at the venue on both days at 8.30am, with the training starting promptly at 9am both days will finish around 5pm. Breaks for meals will be taken.
It’s hoped that local candidates can commute to the venue. However Girlguiding Scotland will cover the cost of hotel accommodation for anyone who needs to travel more than 30-45 mins and would like accommodation.
There is on-street parking outside the venue, but metered. We wish to encourage car-sharing as much as possible. There is free parking within walking distance and the area is served well by public transport.

Places will be allocated based on needs basis, and a spot is not guaranteed priority will be given to those who require the training to complete their walking qualification, those actively using their walking qualification who need to renew, and to those need a 16 hour first aid to remain a first response trainer for Girlguiding Scotland.
