Scottish Chief Commissioner

Moira McKenna

Moira is our lead volunteer in Scotland, with overall responsibility for making sure we deliver our aim of empowering and inspiring as many girls as possible through Girlguiding across the country.

She joined the Girlguiding family in 1973 and is a GP in Dingwall but when she’s not busy with Girlguiding duties, she enjoys getting outdoors and ballroom dancing.

When she accepted her invitation to become the next Scottish Chief Commissioner she said:

I’m so pleased to be appointed as the new Chief Commissioner for Scotland. I can’t wait to take a lead in giving girls a space to reach their full potential as well as supporting our fantastic and dedicated volunteers!
