Moira represents the Highlands and Islands on our Scottish Executive.
Moira has spent many years in guiding from being a Brownie to completing her Queens Guide Award to her most recent role as County Commissioner in Ross-shire.
By day, Moira is a GP for NHS Highland and shares these skills with Girlguiding Council as she represents Scotland as medical advisor for Girlguiding’s Awards committee.
After more than 20 years in guiding, Moira says her fondest memories are all from camping:
“It is hard to think of one particular memory that is good but it is the camping, being away under canvas with friends and cooking on open fires for ourselves that I really remember with fondness.”
Moira enjoys seeing our young members develop and learn as well as seeing them work in teams and having lots of fun in their units, travelling and meeting people from around the world.
Out of guiding Moira also enjoys hillwalking, skiing, camping and the outdoors. She is also learning ballroom dancing.
