Emma joined our Scottish Executive in January 2015 as one of two trustees who represent our local volunteers and adult members across Scotland.
Emma has been involved in guiding for almost twenty years in the Forth Valley and beyond. She loves to travel and 2014 saw her represent The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) at a European Youth Event in Strasbourg and lead a team of Girlguiding members on a volunteering project in The Gambia.
Besides guiding and globetrotting, Emma takes a break from her busy role as a trainee solicitor in Edinburgh by feeding her addiction to murder mystery serials!
Standing out from the crowd
“The most valuable thing that guiding has taught me is that I can do so much more than I believed!
It’s also really helped my career – achievements such as my Queen’s Guide Award and leading international projects made me stand out and showed there was more to me than school.
And best of all, I now have guiding friends all over the world!”
