Have your say at the schools consultation day
Girlguiding is looking for volunteers and members of The Senior Section from across the UK to support work and resources being developed on how we engage with schools.
Starting from the basis of delivering successful assemblies, they’re looking beyond the idea of setting up units based in schools and thinking about innovative and new ways we can work together.
We all want more girls and young women to know about what we do and how to get involved in some of the things on offer – so that they want to come and join us!
Want to get involved?
Girlguiding are holding a consultation day to review some of the work we’ve already done and look at some new ideas for working with schools. They’re looking for 20 people to attend the event in Birmingham on Saturday 3 September. It’ll take place from 10am – 4pm at Maple House, Birmingham, which is easy to access by public transport.
Girlguiding will pay all expenses for those attending, and the day will include breakfast and a networking lunch. They’re looking for a mix of volunteers and members of The Senior Section from all Countries and Regions across the UK, as well as a mix of ages. Although we anticipate some people will be involved in schools in their professional life, it isn’t a necessity.
To attend, please book your place here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/working-with-schools-tickets-26563024722. If you sign up, please also email Louise at Girlguiding Scotland (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll let you know if anyone else from your area will be attending the event too.
If you can’t attend the day, but would like to get involved, please email email@example.com and they’ll add you to the list for future opportunities to support this work.
