We’ve answered some of the most common questions you might have about attending RevealED. If you still have questions after reading these FAQs please email us
Can I pre-order new programme resources?
No pre-orders can be taken but the shop will have plenty of stock for you to buy from midnight on 21 July.
What should I wear?
You should wear your uniform but make sure to bring warm clothes as it might get chilly. You’ll also want comfy shoes to see you around Edinburgh
What should I bring?
Mobile phone, something for the (early) midnight feast which will be after the game begins whilst you wait for the midnight shop opening!
Can I got to the shop at midnight if I didn’t join the game?
Yes, the shop will be open for anyone who wants to be first in line
I can’t come, when can I get new programme resource?
The shop will be open on Saturday 21 July from 9-1pm and then again (summer hours) from Monday 23 July. You will also be able to buy your programme resources on the Girlguiding Scotland online shop from Saturday 21 July.
I thought we could keep using the current programme until September 2019?
You can! There is no rush to switch over to the new programme. We’re excited to reveal the new programme but you don’t need to switch over immediately. There’s still plenty of time for girls to enjoy earning the badges we currently offer until the old programme is phased out in September 2019.
I need to stay over, what options do I have?
You can arrange your own accommodation at a hotel or local hostel or, we will provide basic (sleeping bag) accommodation near to Girlguiding Scotland HQ
Staying over, what should I bring?
If you are staying in our sleepover accommodation you will need to bring a sleeping bag and camp mat, pyjamas, toilet kit, torch and any personal kit
What will you provide at the accommodation?
We will take you to the accommodation after the event at 1am. During the game you can leave any items at Girlguiding Scotland HQ. There will be toilets but no showers. You must be ready to leave by 10am the next day. You are responsible for getting your own breakfast, but we can point out local places and there will be a kettle for that early morning cuppa.
