The Go For It! Challenges are packs of activities for Guides to do at their meetings as individual patrols or whole Units. This year a Go For It Football was introduced. It covers every aspect of football - from scoring the winning goal to strip design. It also includes ideas on holding a Football Party and instructions on how to make a football board game.

To allow the girls the opportunity to develop their football skills and receive professional coaching, in the summer a Football Festival was held in Sunderland and Scottish girls joined others from all over the UK had the opportunity to learn about football from official coaches and academics.

The Guides in Inverness-shire improved their teamwork through playing a series of football related games. This helped develop leadership and teamwork skills. They tested their creativity and ability to work together designing and making football strips from crepe paper and painting each other’s faces.
