Activities
Dancing
Dancing is an aerobic exercise which improves the condition of the heart and lungs as well as testing balance and co-ordination.
In Moray a ceilidh was organised to raise funds for two Scouts going on the world jamboree to Thailand and a Senior Section Unit. The floor was packed the whole night as everyone could join in because the band had a "dance caller" who shoed them how to do the dances.
There was also:
- Belly Dancing in Angus
- Halloween Disco in Ayrshire South
- Line Dancing in Kincardine and Deeside
- Rock'N Roll in Sutherland
- Scottish Country Dancing in Peebles-shire
"I learned from the experience that no matter how young or old you are, we can all have fun together and enjoy the same thing. The youngest person there was about three years old and the oldest in their seventies as well as a lot of teenagers. We all had a lot of fun".
Sandra aged 16, Senior Section Ranger from Moray
