A Scottish training team went to Ghana to train adults, whilst another team was selected to help local Guides and villagers construct a community bakery in the remote village of Shia, deep in the hills, which mark Ghana's border with Togo.

They stayed in the village for three weeks and worked closely with the villagers in the planning and construction of a bake house. The team from Scotland also had the opportunity to meet with the forty strong Ghanaian Guide Unit and exchange traditional songs and dances. By the time they left, the girls were proudly wearing the Brownie and Guide uniforms which had been donated to the project. It was a great success.
