I rate this interview as***** (inspirational, excellent)

"What immediately struck me from reading this interview is how proud Nicola is of her Scottish roots, which many of us are. However, far too often young girls forget where they came from and don't see how special a place Scotland is. By reading this interview it would make them see how celebrities love Scotland and the reasons for this.

I really relate to how Nicola finds Glasgow to be "one of the friendliest cities". It is very true and whenever in Glasgow there is always a happy and busy vibe to the city.

Her enthusiasm for what she believes in really oozes throughout the interview. Her proudest moment being when The Scottish Parliament was reconvened - she had obviously been fighting for this throughout her career.

I very much agree with Nicola that Flower of Scotland is fantastic song, particularly in large crowds. I remember being on many Guide camps and holidays, from Culzean Castle to Austria and the hairs on the back of my neck standing up when singing that song.

I can see why Nicola remembers playing Rounders at Brownies as that is something which I also remember from Brownies and Guides. Even today on Guide holidays I still get the girls to play rounders. It is one of those fun competitive games which the children enjoy. Loyalty to friends is a value which most girls would describe as something they learned at Guides and meeting new friends and mixing with others.

My favourite part of the whole interview was when Nicola said her favourite Guiding memory was "taking part in a Remembrance Day Parade". If reading interviews the girls notice that celebrities did in fact attend the parades then it might encourage them to attend as well.

Overall, a fascinating and well detailed interview!"
