How would you describe Skye in five words?

Dramatic, Varied, Stunning, Spectacular, Breath-taking.


Career…


If you were doing a gift package for a friend overseas from your shop - what would you choose?

Strawberry, Lemon and Elderflower jam, Dark chocolate and toasted hazelnut sauce, fig and balsamic relish, Xmas pud - this selection will give someone a real 'taste' of the whole range!


What is the best compliment you have had from guests who have stayed at Kinloch?

When the guests re-books - there is no greater compliment.



What are you most proud of achieving?


My family because the best state in life is a family with Mother, Father and Children - grandchildren are an added bonus.


What would be on the menu for a favourite easy family meal?

Pasta au Gratin and a spinach and crispy bacon salad - because you do it all ahead and sit down and enjoy the time with the family.



Being a woman…


What is the most important lesson you have learned in life?

I have learned self control and tolerance. These are both things I have learned during life.


What are your top three tips for being a good hostess?

Planning ahead, organisation, and keep everything simple.


What do you think when it is said that all the best chefs/ cooks in the world are men?

Disagree for a start! Gender has nothing whats so ever to do with method and planning, except usually female cooks are more capable and better at multi-tasking.


What's important to her...


If you won a million pounds for a charity of your choice - what would it be?

Would divide the money between Mission Homeless and SCIAF, the Catholic aid agency to spend where they need it best.


When was the last time you thought how lucky you were?

Today, I think it everyday (several times every day).
