Introduction
Welcome to Glasgow's webpage. My name is May Madden and I am the County Commissioner for the city. My association with Guiding began many years ago as a Brownie and Guide in Aberdeenshire and I was delighted to have the chance to train as a leader. Moving to a large city like Glasgow was a daunting experience but the opportunities and friendships which Guiding offered were truly remarkable. After 40 years as a leader and many different appointments I can say that the same is true today.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like more information; we would love to hear from you.

About Us
Glasgow is one of the largest counties in Scotland with 3,460 members. Our Headquarters building which is in the centre of the city is used for meetings, trainings and social occasions. But we also have a beautiful Campsite and Brownie House at Gartocharn with views over Loch Lomond. It is used throughout the year for Camps, Pack Holidays, Unit Outings and Fun Days.
As well as the usual weekly meetings, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members have the opportunity to go on visits to the Fire Station, Police Horses and Dogs, to enjoy barbecues, go ice-skating and swimming, play netball, try cake decorating, crafts, learn new songs and games, go to the panto and maybe even take part in the Glasgow Gang Show!
We are looking for...
More leaders!
This would certainly help us to welcome and offer new opportunities to:
- Rainbows, aged 5+,
- Brownies aged 7+,
- Guides aged 10+ and
- Senior Section aged 14-25.
