Introduction
Hi, I'm Sue and I've been in Girlguiding (second time around) for around 8 years now. I was a Brownie and Guide in Coatbridge back in the 60s and 70s. I started helping in Limekilns within a few months of my elder daughter starting Brownies. I'm now assistant Brownie Guider as well as being Public Relations Adviser for Girlguiding Fife.
I love being involved in Guiding. Some people think of Guiding as a 'worthy' thing to do. They don't seem to realise that it is great fun - for Guiders as well as girls! As well as working with girls in units, there are lots of opportunities for adult leaders to socialise, work and train together.
About Us
Fife is the 3rd largest county in Girlguiding Scotland. It's a very active county with many units organising pack holidays and camps. In the past year, Fife Guides and Guiders have taken trips to our Chalet in Switzerland, the cabana in Mexico and Euro Disney. There have also been trips to castles and beaches, youth hostelling in Stirling and lots of parties.
Fife is a Kingdom with lots to offer. We have residential centres (Logie and Balmullo) near Cupar with indoor accommodation as well as camping facilities. These facilities are bright and modern and are available for rent throughout the year.
We are looking for...
We are always on the lookout for new adult leaders who are ready to join us and have fun.
Whether you can commit an hour or two occasionally, or on a regular basis, we would be glad to welcome you aboard. Please get in touch for more information.
