  • Girlguiding Scotland is Scotland's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women and is part of an international organisation with over 10 million members worldwide.

  • Girlguiding Scotland has over 60,000 members and supporters in Scotland. In the UK there are about 600,000 members and supporters.

  • Our vision is to be recognised as the leading organisation for girls and young women and to widen and increase our membership.

  • We are a charity recognised by the Inland Revenue in Scotland and are funded by membership subscriptions and through our trading arm.

  • There are over 9,000 trained adult volunteers in Scotland. There are over 4000 girls wanting to join Units on waiting lists because we need more adult volunteers.

  • The adult members and helpers in Scotland give 1 million voluntary hours a year – that's equivalent to 550 full-time jobs.
