Introduction
Hi, I'm Julie and although I don't like to admit it (as it makes me feel old) I have been in Girlguiding for over 20 years. I started off as a Brownie, spent my teenage years as a Guide and Young Leader and then became a Guider. I am currently the Public Relations Advisor for Clackmannanshire. I also run a Brownie unit which is great fun - recently my friend who started Brownies with me and became a Guider at the same time as me came back to the area and before she had even moved into her house she was back helping me at Brownies as she had missed it so much. People ask why I do it and how do I find the time - the answer is simple if you enjoy something and you have fun it is easy to make time.

About Us
Clackmannanshire (the "wee county") may be the smallest in Scotland but what we lack in size we make up for with enthusiasm. Girlguiding in Clackmannanshire is welcoming and all about having fun. Each week hundreds of girls and adults take part in a variety of challenging activities from skiing to canoeing, fashion shows to keep fit, Ready Steady Cook competitions to outdoor cooking. The "wee county" is big on Girlguiding.
We are looking for...

We are looking for fun loving and enthusiastic adults who would enjoy the rewarding experience of being part of Girlguiding Clackmannanshire.
Quote from one of our members :
"I know this sounds corny but when I heard that my flatmate was a Guider I thought how boring, knitting and tying knots. However when she persuaded me to come along to her Brownie meeting I surprised myself at how much fun I had - not a knot or knitting needle in sight. I didn't need to be asked to come back again. Five years on I am still helping with the same Brownie Pack"
