Polaris is Girlguiding Scotland’s youth forum. A group made of members aged 14-25 who influence the direction of Girlguiding Scotland’s advocacy work. Polaris is currently being revamped and we’ll be launching a new look and name soon!.
Through Polaris, members of The Senior Section can share their views and opinions on national Girlguiding and Girlguiding Scotland decisions.
How does it work?
Our youth forum is led by a peer elected committee who are responsible for running the group, whether it’s planning the next get-together or publicising upcoming opportunities.
The group holds day and weekend events twice a year all around Scotland, usually in spring and autumn. Youth forum events are a great way to try new activities, gain fantastic skills like speaking out and to influence the advocacy work in Scotland.
