Celebrate World Thinking Day in 2020 by coming along to Wander the World: Dundee Edition!
Join us for this all-section wide game taking place throughout the streets of Dundee, the city of discovery, on Saturday 22 February 2020. World Thinking Day is a global celebration of the 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world – so what better way to mark this special day in the Girlguiding calendar than by joining other girls and volunteers from all over Scotland?
Who can come?
This event is open to all Girlguiding members from all sections, including Trefoil Guild.
When is it?
It’s taking place on Saturday 22 February, 2020 from 10.30am – 4pm.
What to expect…
Girlguiding members will explore the city, complete challenges inspired by Dundee as well as the WAGGGS World Thinking Day 2020 themes including diversity, equity and inclusion.
Everyone will compete in groups of a maximum of 10 to navigate the streets of Dundee, completing different challenges (get more info on ratios) while taking in the sights. You’ll set-off from Caird Hall where you’ll receive your mission pack telling you what tasks you must complete to gain points. There are no set session times, so it’s up to you when you start the challenge!
The day will end on a high note with everyone making their way back to Caird Hall for a special promise ceremony at 3.30pm.
All attendees are expected to bring their own food and drinks and this event will involve a lot of time outdoors so don’t forget to wrap up warm! There’s additional event info available before you book.
How much will it cost?
Tickets cost £10 per person (includes booking fee)
You’ve got until midnight on 1 February 2020 to book your place! You’ve got 14 days from booking to pay the £10 per person fee.

What should I bring?
Everyone will need to bring their own food and drinks and this event will involve a lot of walking so wrap up warm!
